    Pedestrian friendly streets

    What we collect

This indicator tracks the number of sidewalks in the region in terms of kilometres covered.

    Why we collect it

The beauty and charm of the County's many hamlets have long since attracted visitors to the region, and sidewalks pose an effective means to encourage shopping and pedestrian traffic along our many shops and restaurants. Monitoring this indicator will allow us to gauge our success in creating pedestrian friendly streets for both residents and visitors to enjoy.
