This indicator tracks the number of County schools employing waste reduction initiatives.
Why we collect it
The County of Frontenac has adopted reduced solid waste production as one of its sustainability goals and have targeted youth to be leaders in this movement. By tracking this indicator we not only monitor our educational efforts to reduce solid waste production, we ensure our future leaders are receiving lessons that will help create a more sustainable community.
Unfortunately we have not yet been able to find data for this indicator. The ICSP is a living document that relies on input from the community to continue to grow. We welcome any suggestions on data sources for this indicator, new ways to define the indicator that would be more measurable, or suggestions for alternative indicators for this focus area.
