    Increased resident and business participation in recycling and composting

    What we collect

    This indicator tracks the region's waste diversion rate.

    Why we collect it

    Waste management is a growing concern for municipalities all across Canada. With landfills nearing capacity throughout the County of Frontenac, there is an urgent need to reduce the region's waste production. Monitoring this indicator will allow us to gauge our success in diverting waste to landfills.
