    Number of stewardship initiatives underway

    What we collect

This indicator tracks the number of stewardship initiatives that are underway in the region.

    Why we collect it

With its vast tracts of forests and pristine lakes and rivers, the County of Frontenac is home to some of the most picturesque land in all of Eastern Ontario. Because we rely on this same beauty to draw tourists from across the region it's imperative that we protect this delicate resource in the name of both economic and environmental sustainability. By monitoring this indicator we can gauge the level at which we actively protect our natural environment.

Unfortunately we have not yet been able to find data for this indicator. The ICSP is a living document that relies on input from the community to continue to grow. We welcome any suggestions on data sources for this indicator, new ways to define the indicator that would be more measurable, or suggestions for alternative indicators for this focus area. Please send your comments to sustainability@frontenaccounty.ca
