This indicator tracks the number of species at risk in the region.
Why we collect it
The County of Frontenac recognizes the delicate nature of its ecosystem and its need for balance. Protecting individual plant and animal life is imperative to maintain the region's delicate equilibrium. Monitoring this indicator will allow us to measure our success in protecting species at risk and ensuring their populations return to healthy levels.
Unfortunately we have not yet been able to find data for this indicator. The ICSP is a living document that relies on input from the community to continue to grow. We welcome any suggestions on data sources for this indicator, new ways to define the indicator that would be more measurable, or suggestions for alternative indicators for this focus area.
