    Number of brownfield site redevelopments

    What we collect

This indicator tracks the number of brownfield site redevelopments that are underway in the region.

    Why we collect it

Redeveloping brownfield sites allows municipalities to promote new growth by making use of previously developed land while cleaning it of its environmental contaminants. Monitoring this indicator allows us to gauge our success in transforming poisoned land into healthy opportunities for economic and cultural growth.

In 2009 there were no brownfield site redevelopments in Frontenac County
