This indicator tracks the annual number of people using regional homeless shelters.
Why we collect it
Sustainable communities meet the needs of all residents, regardless of income level. To the County of Frontenac, this means reducing the number of low-income earners while increasing the availability of social services, such as homeless shelters, to this demographic. Monitoring this indicator will allow us to gauge our success in reducing the number of low-income earners while ensuring adequate social infrastructure to meet their needs.
Unfortunately we have not yet been able to find data for this indicator. The ICSP is a living document that relies on input from the community to continue to grow. We welcome any suggestions on data sources for this indicator, new ways to define the indicator that would be more measurable, or suggestions for alternative indicators for this focus area.
