    Number of social assistance recipients

    What we collect

This indicator tracks the number of County residents receiving social assistance.

    Why we collect it

For a community to be sustainable citizens must have their economic needs met. For individuals lacking gainful employment, this means access to adequate social assistance to meet their own needs and those of their family. Monitoring this indicator will gauge our success in ensuring our most economically vulnerable residents have their financial needs met.

Unfortunately we have not yet been able to find data for this indicator. The ICSP is a living document that relies on input from the community to continue to grow. We welcome any suggestions on data sources for this indicator, new ways to define the indicator that would be more measurable, or suggestions for alternative indicators for this focus area.
