    Number of green energy businesses

    What we collect

This indicator tracks the number of new green-energy businesses in the region.

    Why we collect it

Green-energy production has been identified as key driver of environmental and economic sustainability in the region. Given the favourable tariffs being offered by the Ontario Power Authority, it's in our best interests to transform the region into a green-energy hotspot. Monitoring this indicator will allow us to track of our success in encouraging the growth and development of green-energy businesses.

Unfortunately we have not yet been able to find data for this indicator. The ICSP is a living document that relies on input from the community to continue to grow. We welcome any suggestions on data sources for this indicator, new ways to define the indicator that would be more measurable, or suggestions for alternative indicators for this focus area.
