This indicator tracks the amount of annual investments by public and private interests in new skills and higher learning.
Why we collect it
Education and skills development are key drivers of prosperous economies and the workers that populate them. Work forces possessing sough-after skills and educational credentials are better positioned to meet the demands of both regional and remote economies. Monitoring this indicator will gauge our success in funding our workers' development and the economy they drive.
